Após passar por sete meses de reformas para criar a Villa Balthazar, nós estamos agora vivendo nosso sonho. Os muitos anos de experiência do Felix em hotelaria e restaurantes e a paixão da Petra por pessoas, hospitalidade e design de interiores foram todos peças imprescindíveis em nossa aventura. Nossa ambição conjunta nos trouxe a Buzíos e aqui estamos crescendo nossa família juntos com a nossa equipe maravilhosa.

Nós – Felix, Petra e nossa filha Chloe e filho Leon e nossa cachorrinha Bella – estamos convidando você a se tornar parte de nosso sonho. Lhe damos as boas-vindas para chegar e ficar em nossa casa. Imagine que você pegou emprestada a casa de um amigo chegado, só que o dono não está presente. Você se sente como se estivesse em casa, mas você não tem que socializar. Essa é a sensação que queremos passar aos nossos hóspedes. Liberdade, paz e harmonia, combinadas em um ambiente familiar.

Graças ao fato da Villa Balthazar ser tanto a nossa casa como o nosso dia a dia, nós estaremos sempre por perto, e provavelmente seremos encontrados por aí cuidando do jardim, lendo um livro, brincando com as crianças, jantando com amigos, cozinhando, ou ainda em qualquer outra atividade diária. Nossa presença significa que você sempre terá alguém para perguntar sobre os melhores restaurantes de Búzios, ou por passeios em lugares pitorescos, ou simplesmente onde tomar um bom café. Seja bem-vindo a passar um tempo na Villa Balthazar, aproveite a liberdade e tudo mais que Búzios tem a oferecer.

I've been living in Brazil for 4 years now, travelled around a lot and this was by far the best experience in this category of accommodation that I've made. Vila Balthazar's Karma makes you feel home from the first minute.
The rooms are spectacular and very well designed. The breakfast was the highlight of the day. I highly recommend to visit Balthazar Bakery as well. This is where the amazing bread that they serve every morning is made. The beach is just around the corner. You can hear the waves in the evening. The city center with restaurants and bars is just a 5 minute walk away.
We stayed there with our two young kids. Petra and the mate were super kind and helpful with everything family-related. We highly recommend this place!

Magical place
I visited Villa Balthazar in May this year with quite High expectations considering the the reviews I had read about this place. But I can just agree with other people that have visited Villa balthazar.
The place is beautiful, personal and have a great atmosphere. The breakfast is fresh and delicious and keeps you full for a long time. Walking distance (approximately 2 min) to a very calm, not at all crowded Beach.
I would love to visit this place again.

What a home away from home, lovely place, big room with cosy sitting area, lots of special touch’s and quirky details, close to everything and best breakfast I’ve ever had.
Stayed an extra day (5 in total) just to experience it more. Petra couldn’t do enough for me and as a solo female traveller, first time on my own in Brazil, the warm welcome made me feel right at ease and almost part of the family. Would highly recommend Villa Balthazar, price/quality is hard to be beaten and has excellent wifi

Beautiful accommodations with wonderful hosts
We spent a New Year's trip at Villa Balthazar a while back and had such a wonderful experience — highly, highly recommended.
Location: Across the road from the sea and a beautiful beach, a few minutes walk into town, perfect location. So much to do and see in town when it comes to restaurants, shopping, bars, clubs, boat excursions, etc.
Accommodation: Lovely, clean and quiet rooms surrounding a beautiful courtyard with a pool off to the side.
Food: The breakfasts are INCREDIBLE, there is no other way to put it. Everything is locally grown/sourced (I believe some from the hosts' own garden) and homemade that morning, right down to the yoghurt! I would suggest skimping on dinner to make room — you will not be underfed!
Hosts: Petra and Felix are the best part — ask them anything, they are always happy to help and give you recommendations. Very kind and accommodating people with adorable, well-behaved children 🙂 11 out of 10!

Fantastic setting and service
We as a family have been several times to stay at Villa Balthazar whilst staying in Buzios. The place is perfectly situated with a short walk to the busy streets of Rua das Pedras with all its shops and restaurants.
The place is unique because of its homely feeling and friendly owners Petra and Felix. It resembles a Boutique hotel, nicely decorated and just the right size. Being there as a family worked perfectly as it has a nice pool and court-yard with open space. This together with things you can borrow for a day at the beach makes it ideal when travelling with kids.
One of the highlights is the breakfast. As they have their own sourdough bakery you will enjoy excellent bread together with all the extras. The bakery in it self is worth an extra stop (just a mile away) when in Buzios.
So if you are looking for a high quality place to stay with that little bit of "extra" then you should certainly come here.
